It has been three days since LDC concluded, and I'm beginning to miss it. No seriously. (don't stone me)
Firstly, you must understand that most of the sec 2s (including me) in BB have never been through a 'tough' camp(prefects excluded), and were really shocked when they started the camp with the 'pasar malam', where the crazy timings given to get from one place to another began. throughout the first day, it was all "i wanna see you all in ____ in 3 minutes" or "why are you all 1 minute late!? GIVE ME TEN!!" Oh man, it was tough on the first day. ( I really respect the i.c., Gabriel must have been REALLY stressed out). However, amidst all those shouting and rushing and physical punishments, one cannot deny that we were slowly beginning to build camaraderie and began to lean on out cohort mates for strength and endurance. Those of you bb sec2 s reading this post, i want you guys to know that despite what those 'big bad primers' yelled at you guys that day, I'm really proud i'm in your cohort, and "you guy's rock". Mr ng's pizza hut supper rocked too =)
The second day was cool as well. The day started with breakfast, flag raising, then church service. I'm proud to say that there were MUCH less people in the sec 2 cohort sleeping than the other cohort present (hem hem). However, the few that were..... well.... it was very sad. following that was the begining of our (was it 60 km?) biking exhibition, were the cohort separated to squads and set off. My squad was jolly whacked and crazy, and totally awesome. Short recap on those in group three (phee): there's me =D, Brian Wong, Nick, Darren, Joshua Chee and Marcus Choy. We were on crazy (and racist) group, and i enjoyed myself immensely. Also, acknowledgment goes to the great MR KAN, Primer Jin Yu and Primer Felicia, who accompanied my group. In my opinion, the first day was rather easy, although we DID come in rather late, we had great fun. The campfire and all were rather fun too. Too bad i was a little too tired to enjoy it completely. Slept in a cool 'dormitory' that night, and slept alot better than in the rather overcrowded dome tents that accommodated six the previous night. (inclusive of marcus choy) I was 2i.c. for this day, but will not comment on this component.
Day 3 started off with breakfast, and then we set off again, but this time much earlier. The route this time was was much longer, and the paths less smooth. Zheng Hua park was were the route became less easy, resulting in the fall of joshua, leading to him having to proceed to a clinic to properly dress his injuries. While waiting for various vehicles to first pick up the injured then his bike, my group, true to our crazy nature, filled our time doing crazy stuff like flattering mr Kan and camp whoring. i shall finish this in my following post as i have to go now. sorry
